Discover Perth’s hidden getaways
Yanchep Lagoon
Pristine white sand and crystal clear water awaits you at Yanchep Lagoon. Located just 3km away from Vertex, this hidden gem is the perfect family getaway.
A prominent reef creates a natural breakwater, removing any swell and leaving the lagoon area calm and relaxed. It’s the perfect spot for swimming and snorkelling, away from the swell, waves—and with no chance of sharks.
Grab your rod and line and take your pick of beach fishing opportunities, or just set up a picnic blanket on the beach and enjoy one of WA’s unspoiled secrets.
Yanchep National Park
One of Perth’s best national parks is just 5km away—get ready to explore!
Love bushwalking? At Yanchep National Park you can get out on the trails, stretch your legs, and wander tracks that meander through beautiful natural woodland. Take in the splendour of WA’s wildflower display, or find a secluded spot among the rolling green parklands for a lazy weekend picnic.
Catch more than a glimpse of some of our wildlife, with a 240m koala boardwalk providing the opportunity to see some of Australia’s favourite native animals in their natural environment. Families of Western Grey kangaroos come out to play in the early morning and afternoon, or you might be lucky enough to spot them lounging under the trees to escape the heat of the day.
If you’re up for a subterranean adventure, over 400 natural caves have been discovered within the Park’s grounds. Explore Crystal Cave, Yonderup Cave, and Cabaret Cave, just to name a few, each with its own personality and story. You can book in for guided tours to learn the natural history of these extraordinary phenomena.
Discover hiking trails for the whole family
If you love to get out on the trail, Yanchep is surrounded by a treasure trove of hiking opportunities. There are nine different hikes and bushwalks to take part in, from relaxed, family-friendly bushwalks where you can explore the nearby history spots, including the spooky Ghost House Trail, and opportunities to learn about the rich culture and history of the local Noongar people, ranging to a 3-day 55km trek.
Head out on the water at Two Rocks Marina
One of the massive perks of living the coastal lifestyle is the opportunity to get out on the water. Just a short drive from the estate via Two Rocks Road you’ll find Two Rocks Marina. Boat pens range in size from 8 to 25 metres, and provide a safe, convenient facility to launch your weekend getaway on the water. With a $6 million upgrade of its facilities and nautical infrastructure underway, there are plenty of exciting opportunities in the near future.
Don’t wait for tee-off time
Sharpen your golf game and spend a day on the green at the nearby Yanchep Golf Club, located within Yanchep National Park, or the 18-hole Sun City Country Club. Both just minutes from Vertex, you’re never far from the chance to get away for a swing.
